The who-done-it sequel is bringing the stars once more. Deadline has confirmed that Edward Norton has joined Daniel Craig in the sequel to Rian Johnson’s 2019 film Knives Out. Reports came out yesterday that Dave Bautista has also joined the cast. Similar to the first film, Knives Out 2 looks to surround Daniel Craig with an incredible ensemble. The first film boasted cast that included Ana De Armas, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, LaKieth Stanfield, and many more A-list actors.
There is no word if any of those actors will be returning, and it is very unlikely, as Rian Johnson is creating more of an anthology series that follows Detective Benoit Blanc solving mysteries around the world. Netflix purchased the rights to the sequel and subsequent films for around $400 million earlier this year. While it seems steep, Johnson has created a world that many people can now enjoy from the comfort of their home once the film is released to Netflix.
If the last 24 hours is any indication, more A-list stars will board the who-done-it train as Knives Out 2 is sharpening up for a summer shoot in Greece. No word on what roles either Bautista or Norton will play, but their talents will certainly bring a lot to the sequel.
Knives Out 2 will be released in 2022 on Netflix.
