Duo Daniels, Directors of ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ Have Release Date Set For New Untitled Project

The filmmaking duo, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert also known as the Daniels, took over the Oscars with their indie sensation Everything Everywhere All At Once. Now approaching a year later, the duo is getting closer to creating their next feature with release date of June 12, 2026 set by Universal for this new venture. More details are not available at this time, but the studio has described the project as an “untitled event film,” pointing towards a film of grand proportions.

The new feature will be the first out of a long-term pact the duo made with Universal in the summer of 2022 before their huge wins at the Oscars.

The duo first started in the world of music videos, creating the video for DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s hit “Turn Down for What.” They then went on to create their directorial debut, Swiss Army Man, starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter on their Universal deal and the transition from indie to studio films, Kwan said, “We love to chase things that could almost be a catastrophe.” Scheinert also added, “We thrive on being told no, in moderation…I am nervous about having a budget that makes us not have those tough conversations.”

Whatever their next project entails, it is sure to create plenty of buzz due to their previous success!
