Dolly Parton Saved Child’s Life on Set of ‘Christmas on the Square’

In a heartwarming story to this incredibly cold Holiday Season, Dolly Parton apparently saved a young girl’s life. Now it wasn’t with her music, her acting, or her philanthropic acts, which I’m sure have saved people in the past, but it was the literal sense: she literally pulled someone out of the way of a moving vehicle.

Reportedly on the set of Christmas on the Square, Talia Hill, who is 9-year old with a small part in the film, said, “there is a vehicle moving, and I was walking, and somebody grabbed me and pulled me back and it was Dolly Parton.”

Parton, the star of the film, plays a character named Angel who is an angel, and it seems like the popular singer was just that to this young child actor. Hill continued by saying, “I was in shock, and she hugged me and shook me and said, ‘I saved your life,’ and my Mom was crying, like, ‘Yes you did, Dolly Parton, yes you did.’”

While this certainly sounds like a scripted piece, it is still rather sweet, even if Parton immediately felt that she saved this young girl’s life. Regardless it is a nice story for the holiday season. Parton is back in the limelight this year due to her million dollar donation to COVID Vaccine research, her latest projects, as well as fun impression of her on last week’s Saturday Night Live

Christmas on the Square is streaming on Netflix now.
