DC’s ‘The Flash’ Speeds Toward 2021 Release Date

Although it ma not be as fast as Warner Bros. expected, DC‘s The Flash is set for 2021 solo film. The reasoning behind the slow start to the film has to do with scheduling conflicts including with The Flash himself Ezra Miller. Miller is set to work on the next installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise and he will be needed in July to get through that Warner Bros. production.

This hasn’t been the first set back for a Flash film, though. In 2015, The Lego Movie filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller were set to direct the film, but then, the writer of the script, Seth Grahame-Smith, was pinned as the best possible director for the film. Again, though, in the following year, Dope director Rick Famuyiwa was added to potential directors. In fact, the film has been in the works since 2014.

It seems like finally, even though it is still a ways away, DC fans will finally be able to see Barry Allen sprint on screen in his very own film.
