Critics Choice Awards Will Require Covid Test Of All Attendees As List Of Dropouts From Virus Grows

This just in; all attendees of the critics choice awards are now required to submit covid tests at least 72 hours before the event.

Due to a recent covid diagnosis, Michelle Pfeifer announced on Instagram that she will not be in attendance.

Right behind Pfeifer not attending, are the co-stars of Banshees of Insherin; Brandon Gleeson and collin farrell. According to Deadline

Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, will not appear at tonight’s 28th annual Critics Choice Awards, honoring the finest achievements of film making and television programming in 2022. Both have tested positive for Covid, according to a studio source.”

Farrel’s juggernaut performance has snagged him a best actor nomination, and Gleesons bitter, show stealing performance has earned him nomination for best supporting actor. Both attended the Golden Globes where Farrell won the award for best actor in a comedy or musical.

The awards are being held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles and will be broadcast starting at 7 PM ET on The CW. Chelsea Handler hosts ceremony this year.

while its unfortunate that the actors could not attend, its no doubt they will be there in spirit, and their performances have certainly earned their place as contenders.
