Jermaine Fowler, who recently starred in Coming 2 America as the long-lost son of Eddie Murphy’s King Akeem, is in talks to join spy comedy The U.S.P.S., which will be developed by Amazon Studios, Imagine Entertainment, and Chronology. The film is based on Perry Janes’ 2020 Blacklist script. Janes completed Imagine’s first Impact accelerator before joining The Blacklist.
The U.S.P.S. plot follows Michael, whose world is turned upside down after his mother is killed in the line of duty as a postal carrier. He quickly learned this is his mother was a member of a clandestine, professionally trained intelligence agency that operated in plain sight, the United States Postal Service.
Aside from Coming 2 America, Fowler has finished filming the animated adventure Riverdance, about Keegan, an Irish boy, and Moya, a Spanish girl, travel into the mythical realm of the Megaloceros Giganteus. They teach them to enjoy Riverdance as a celebration of life. He also finished filming Am I OK? about Lucy and Jane, who have been best friends since they were children. Only as Lucy embarks on a personal quest will she put to the test her relationship and sense of self on a road she may or may not be completely prepared to take.
