With the upcoming animated film Sausage Party, the brainchild of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, comes a bit of history in the making. The movie marks the first R-rated CG animated feature and all that riotous NSFW fun had an ideal showcase at Comic-Con. The movie was screened, following the rousing reception received earlier this year at South By Southwest and Sony has now unveiled a brand new red-band trailer for the soon-to-be-released movie.

Directed by Greg Tiernan (Thomas and Friends) and Conrad Vernon (Monsters vs. Aliens) and written by The Night Before‘s Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir as well as Rogen and Goldberg, Sausage Party takes a very Toy Story-like premise (that of anthropomorphic food) and takes it to very R-rated places. Rogen is a part of the voice cast as is Kristen Wiig (Ghostbusters), Jonah Hill (This Is the End), Bill Hader (Trainwreck), Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), James Franco (The Interview), Danny McBride (Pineapple Express), Craig Robinson (Hot Tub Time Machine), Paul Rudd (This Is 40), David Krumholtz (The Judge), Nick Kroll (Adult Beginners), Edward Norton (Birdman) and Salma Hayek (Frida).
