Comic-Con: First Trailer for ‘Wonder Woman’ Arrives

Warner Bros. began their San Diego Comic-Con with a big one: the first trailer for the much anticipated Wonder Woman. The action-packed next step in the DC Extended Universe finally gives Diana Prince, the Amazonian superhero her first big-screen venture. Patty Jenkins (Monster) directs the features which stars Gal Gadot, who first turned heads with her debut of the character in this spring’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of the Justice.

The action-packed first trailer for Wonder Woman comes on the heels of yesterday’s debut of the striking first one-sheet of the film, a movie that appears to have quite a bit of fan goodwill surrounding it despite the prickly overall attitude of the DC film brand in the wake of internal shake-ups following the tepid fan and critical response to both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.

Wonder Woman goes straight back to the origin story, appearing with lush period detail. Chris Pine (Star Trek: Beyond), Robin Wright (House of Cards) and Connie Nielsen (Gladiator) co-star. Check out the first trailer below.

Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2, 2017.
