Charlie Hunnam came out to San Diego Comic-Con to plug King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. The actor, who recently co-starred in Crimson Peak and headlined Pacific Rim, has been a fan favorite going back to his years on FX series Sons of Anarchy, but now today, he was front and center to introduce Guy Ritchie’s upcoming revamp of the King Arthur legend. Hall H- attendees were greeted with the first Legend of the Sword trailer, a swaggering Ritchie joint full of jump cuts, anachronistic production and music elements and a frequently shirtless Hunnam.
Ritchie, whose last film was the under-appreciated The Man From U.N.C.L.E., directed and co-wrote this latest iteration on the King Arthur legend along with Joby Harold and Lionel Wigram. The film also stars Eric Bana (The Finest Hours), Astrid Berges-Frisbey (I Origins), Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle), Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) and Jude Law (Anna Karenina). The first glimpse boasts Ritchie’s typically gritty panache.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword hits theaters on March 24, 2017. Check out the first trailer below.
