Check Out the Trailer for ‘Area 51’

Paramount has released a new trailer for the upcoming found-footage horror movie, Area 51. The movie follows a group of students who break into the legendary army base to find its secrets. In their search, they end up being terrorized by the mysteries they uncover.

The movie stars a number of unknown actors and was written and directed by Oren Peli, who wrote and directed the original Paranormal Activity. He also wrote 2012’s found-footage horror film Chernobyl Diaries, which followed a group of teenagers visiting the site of the infamous nuclear disaster.

Universal recently released another Blumhouse Productions picture, Unfriended, to financial and some critical success. Paramount will likely be hoping for the same with their micro-budget film when it is released in select theaters and on VOD services May 15. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer below.
