The 1982 dystopian sci-fi classic Blade Runner has been approved for an un-named sequel with a mostly new cast. The one known recurring character is Rick Deckard, played by the now 73 year-old Harrison Ford.
Currently known new cast members include Ana De Armas (Knock Knock), Dave Bautista (Gaurdians of the Galaxy), Ryan Gosling (Drive), Sylvia Hoeks (Tirza), Robin Wright (House of Cards), and most recently Carla Juri (Wetlands). It has not yet been revealed who these actors play, or if this is the final cast.
Denis Villeneuve, best known for Sicario, will be directing the Blade Sequel along side original helmer Ridley Scott, who has a story credit and will produce the sequel. Very little is known so far of the plot of the film, but theaters are currently expecting it to hit theaters on October of 2017.
