Bruce Willis’ Wife Asks Media To “Give Him Space” After A Difficult Outing In Santa Monica

Actor Bruce Willis’ wife – Emma Heming Willis – wrote a message for the paparazzi through Instagram on Saturday. She asked them to stop yelling and distracting the actor while out. Willis was recently diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, which causes difficulty with language and behavioral changes. Heming Willis stated:

“It’s clear that there’s still a lot of education that needs to be put forth…So this one is going out to the photographers and the video people that are trying to get those exclusives of my husband out and about: Just keep your space. I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space.”

“please don’t be yelling at my husband asking him how he’s doing or whatever — the woohoo-ing and the yippee ki yays … just don’t do it. OK? Give him his space. Allow for our family or whoever’s with him that day to be able to get him from point A to point B safely.”

Heming Willis posted this message as a video after the media disturbed the actor while in Santa Monica. Since Willis’ diagnosis, he has rarely been seen in public.

A year ago, the first diagnosis from the star was shared by his family. At that moment, the disease Willis was suffering was identified as aphasia. However, recently the new diagnosis was discovered and shared in a statement also through social media.

Heming Willis added the following: “To other caregivers or dementia care specialists navigating this world … Any tips or advice on how to get your loved ones out in the world safely? Please share below.”
