Following his recent disclosure of his Cancer diagnosis a few months ago, Bruce Campbell has provided an update, revealing on the Adam Carolla Show that he may only have a few years left to live.
“I’m in a five-year prognosis”, revealed the horror icon, best known for playing Ash Williams in the Evil Dead franchise, and his other collaborations with director Sam Rami. “With the type of cancer that I have, which I don’t want to get into, the current thing is a five-year deal,” he later explained. Campbell was then asked by the show’s host, Adam Carolla, if that meant that “the prognosis is you have five years to live,” to which Campbell responded with a blunt “Give or take.”
Despite the dire news, Campbell said he’s choosing to see things more positively. He noted that treatment for the cancer he has could advance over the next several years. He also stated that he is refusing to go down a “cancer rabbit hole,” and explained that he’s choosing to stay away from “focus groups” of people going through similar health issues as him. He summed up his outlook by stating the following:
“I’ve decided though pretty specifically though to live with it, not die from it.”
