Bob Odenkirk Joins Greta Gerwig’s ‘Little Women’

Greta Gerwig‘s Little Women has added yet another big name star to its cast, this time with Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk. Deadline first reported the news. For her follow-up to Lady Bird, Gerwig will be adapting the Louisa May Alcott novel herself as well as directing.

Odenkirk, the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actor, will be joining the ranks of Meryl Streep, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Emma Watson, Laura Dern, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlon, James Norton, and Louis Garrell.

The original novel of Little Women told the story of three sisters and their mother living in relative poverty through and on the outskirts of the events of the American Civil War. The story sees the March sisters through childhood to adult womanhood through the course of the story. It is unknown as to how faithful of an adaptation Gerwig’s version will be.

Currently, Odenkirk can be seen on the 4th season of his hit spinoff show Better Call Saul and will soon be starring in the action-thriller Nobody.
