Last Tuesday a tweet by Marvel India revealed the expected Marvel Studio Phase 4 release calendar. The graphic reveals dates for the upcoming superhero films. It surprised many fans when it included by accident the wrong date for the release of the new Blade movie.
As it is known Marvel Studios is ready to roll out tons of new movies and content for their audiences. The Eternals is coming out on November 5th and Spider-Man No Way Home is set to release on December 17th of this year. Then in 2022, we will get Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Morbius, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, just to name a few. The exact release dates for many of the future Marvel installments are still a little uncertain, especially when referring to Blade.
Originally it was said to come out on October 7 of 2022, which is the date that was published by the hot tweet in question. The Halloween season is the perfect time to watch a dhampir (a half-human half-vampire) hunting bloodthirsty vampires for sport. But as we know now the film hasn’t even started production and will thus not be able to meet the original deadline. Instead, it has been pushed back to October of 2023, a full year later. Unless Marvel has successfully kept the production of Blade completely secret, which is unlikely, the date released on Twitter by Marvel India is completely off.
During the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con Marvel Studios announced that two times Oscar winner Mahershala Ali will take up the sword and iconic black suit. Fanatics of the original trilogy were upset to hear that fan-favorite Wesley Snipes wouldn’t continue in his role. However, after he gave Mahershala his blessing last year via Twitter the dark community of dhampirs has welcomed their new vampire slayer. The movie will be directed by Bassam Tariq and is being written as we speak by Stacy Osei-Kuffour.
