Black Panther villain Michael B. Jordan will be putting out the fire in the next remake of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, which will be produced through HBO. Jordan is joining Michael Shannon as a young fireman, Montag, in a dystopian future where honest and direct communication is nearly impossible, with knowledge in books being turned into ash. Montag soon goes against Shannon’s character, Beatty, despite their former closeness. In such a terrifying world, Montag seeks to finally be free of its restrictions to become his true self. The film also co-stars Sofia Boutella (The Mummy), along with Lilly Singh (Bad Moms) and Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming).
The film is being directed by Ramin Bahrami, who is most known for 99 Homes, which he and Shannon worked together on together.
Fahrenheit 451 is set to release in May on HBO, but the trailer can be seen below.
