Billie Lourd Pays Tribute To Her Late Mother Carrie Fisher In Social Media Post

Billie Lourd paid tribute to her late mother Carrie Fisher in a touching X/Twitter post on Wednesday, December 27th. It’s been 7 years since the actress’ death. Lourd shared her thoughts in the social media post to her mother.

The post read, “It has been 7 years since my mom died (but who’s counting?? Me, I guess?) Every anniversary brings a different iteration of my grief. Some infused me with rage, some make me cry all day long, some make me feel dissociated and empty, some make me feel nothing, some make me feel guilty for feeling nothing, and some make me feel all of those things all at once.”

The X post was accompanied by a picture of Lourd and her mother at the beach when Lourd was younger.

The post continued by saying, “I miss her every but the cliche is true – she is with me every day – she infuses my joyful moment with even more joy. As I tell my son, she lives in the stars – and she damn sure makes my life sparkle. Sending my love to all my griefers out there. And hoping everyone can feel a little sparkle of griefull among all the feelings grief inevitably brings.”

Fisher died December 27, 2016 after undergoing a medical emergency on a flight from London to Los Angeles.

Fisher was known for her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars, as well as, 30 Rock, When Harry Met Sally, and Hannah and Her Sisters.
