Actor Bill Cobbs has passed away at the age of 90. His death was confirmed by his family.
Cobbs got a jumpstart on acting by performing in local plays around his area. His first break into film came with The Taking Of Pelham One Two Three, where he appeared alongside big names such as Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw, and Martin Balsam.
Since his small appearance in that film, he went on to star in a multitude of films such as Night At The Museum, The Muppets, The Color Of Money, Demolition Man, and many others.
Deadline points out that Cobbs also had a strong career when it came to television, helping add to his growing reputation as a character-actor. His time on TV spans parts on The Equalizer and I’ll Fly Away, to appearances in Star Trek: Enterprise and The Sopranos.
Deadline also reported that Cobbs’ death was reported to them from his own publicist, Chuck I. Jones.
Cobbs’ death was stated to be of natural causes. However, there is not a list of survivors for Cobbs as of yet.
Thomas G. Cobbs, brother to Bill Cobbs, described his final moments as peaceful, and also said that he was able to spend his 90th birthday celebrating the occasion with his loved ones.
