During an interview with the Associated Press for Ben Affleck’s upcoming film, The Accountant, Affleck revealed the working title for his solo Batman project; The Batman.
In the interview with AP Affleck kept The Batman talk short and sweet. “At least that’s what we’re going with now,” he said about the working title and added, “I might change it.” As co-writer, director and star he continued by shedding some light on the writing process, “We’re working on the script. The script is going well. I’m really excited about it. And I assure you when there’s anything that develops, you’ll hear about it.”
There are not many details yet as to when the film will be released, but for now, we can speculate it will be sometime in between Ezra Miller’s The Flash (2018) and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg (2020). In more recent news, it was revealed that Joe Manganiello was cast as Deathstroke, one of Batman’s fiercest foes.
