Ben Affleck Accidentally Reveals Possible Spoiler For ‘The Flash’

Warning: Affleck’s spoiler is discussed in depth here.

During an interview with the SmartLess podcast, Air star Ben Affleck accidentally unveils a potential spoiler for another character’s surprise appearance. Affleck’s little slip-up comes from discussing his performance in the role of Batman.

In previous interviews, Affleck has reflected on how much trouble Batman’s character has given him over the years in the DCEU, finding it “creatively not satisfying.” In Smartless, Affleck reveals that he “finally figured out how to play the guy” after a specific scene he shot in the film. Here, he accidentally uncovers a character not officially announced as part of the film that arrives to help the Caped Crusader.

Affleck describes a scene where Wonder Woman saves him “during a conflagration with some bad guys” before he stops, jokingly citing his fear of DC’s “spoiler assassins.” However, he continues his train of thought and further describes the scene, including how Wonder Woman uses her lasso of truth to save Batman. Ensnared by it, Batman ends up spilling all his feelings to her about his life and work. Affleck describes this moment as one where he said to himself, “Wait a minute, I got it,” finally understanding how to portray the character.

While this seems to have confirmed fan speculation from a line of promotional Funko Pop! figures containing Wonder Woman, there is no solid confirmation whether or not this scene will be in the final cut. Even during his reflection, Affleck stops himself from referencing Wonder Woman actress Gal Godot and how big of a role she receives in the film.

The Flash is set to be released this summer on June 23.
