A teaser trailer has been released for Beautiful Boy, starring this past year’s Best Actor Oscar nominated darling Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name).
Based on David Sheff’s memoir Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction, the story is told from the perspective of a father (Steve Carell) who watches his son (Chalamet) descend from his former self as a funny and charming varsity athlete and honors student into a lying, stealing, unrecognizable person struggling with a crystal meth addiction and living on the streets.
Belgian filmmaker Felix van Groeningen (The Broken Circle Breakdown) directs. Amazon Studios is producing the film.
