Baseball Dram ‘The Hill’ Comes To Theaters Later August Starring Dennis Quaid And Colin Ford

A trailer was released by Briarcliff Entertainment for the movie, The Hill. Scripted by Angelo Pizzo and Scott Marshall Smith and directed by Jeff Celentano, this movie is an inspirational sports drama starring Dennis Quaid and Colin Ford. This film is set to release on August 25th. 

The story follows the father (played by Quaid) of a handicapped son, Rickey Hill, (played by Ford). Rickey Hill has a special skill and talent for baseball, but he is stumped due to his degenerative spinal disease, which requires him to wear leg braces. Quaid’s character wants to protect Rickey, so he instead guides him to become a preacher, a much safer profession for the boy’s disability. Rickey soon proves his father wrong and overcomes his physical limitations to become a baseball hit sensation.

The movie also stars country music singer-songwriter Randy Houser, as well as Joelle Carter, Bonnie Bedelia, and Scott Glenn. 

The film is produced by Warren Ostergard and Celentano. Executive producers include Ron Cundy, Michael A. Blubaugh, Michael E. Hollingsworth, Rickey Hill, Matthew Dwyer, Darren Moorman, Carl Mazzocone and Tyler W. Konney, Clay Pecorin, and Russell Geyser of Rainmaker Films.
