The currently untitled movie – which will feature Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, and Martin Freeman among others – has now added a relative newcomer to this star-studded list: Aussie soap star and former rugby player Steve Peacocke. According to Deadline, he joins the movie as a bodyguard to Fey’s character, with the movie focusing on her recounting her time as a journalist during the wars in the Middle East.
The movie, formerly titled Fun House, is a comedic take on the war from a journalist’s perspective (to be played by Fey). The movie revolves around the retelling of her wartime experiences during six years of documenting the war, and is based on the memoir by Kim Barker called Taliban Shuffle. Peacocke is set to play her Kiwi bodyguard, who has the hots for her.
Also set to star in the movie are Margot Robbie (Focus), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (HBO’s Game of Thrones), Martin Freeman (The Hobbit), and Christopher Abbott (A Most Violent Year). Glenn Ficara and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love) are directing this movie, and Tina Fey is also stepping into the role of producer. Though not formally titled, the movie is known as either Fun House or The Taliban Shuffle and is currently filming, though there is no release date yet.
