‘Atlanta’ Star Zazie Beetz to Play Domino in ‘Deadpool 2’

Deadpool 2 has found its newest superhero mutant Domino in Atlanta actress Zazie Beetz. Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, made the announcement today on twitter in a cheeky nod to the game of dominoes, spelling out her name on the tiles.

Beetz has appeared in James White and the Netflix series Easy, but got her breakout role opposite Donald Glover on his Emmy-winning FX series Atlanta.

Beetz will be playing Domino, a mutant with telekinetic powers who operates with a partner, Cable. His role has not yet been cast, but names like Russell Crowe and David Harbour have been circling the role.

John Wick director David Leitch is taking over duties from Tim Miller and is working from a script by original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool 2 is slated to hit theaters on March 2, 2018.
