The former Stuck in the Middle star Ariana Greenblatt is making quite a name for herself. Appearing in movies like The One and Only Ivan, Love and Monsters, and Avengers: Infinity War as young Gamora. Greenblatt is set to star as Tiny Tina, a teenage explosives specialist who wants vengeance on the man who sold her parents to be test subjects to the evil Hyperion company.
Greenblatt will join an A-list cast that includes Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Jack Black as Claptrap, Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Tannis, and Kevin Hart as Roland in Eli Roth’s adaptation of high demand video game Borderlands.
Chernobyl writer Craig Mazin wrote the most recent draft, and the plot goes as the following. Set in the distant future as four “Vault Hunters” travel to the distant planet of Pandora to track down an alien vault that is rumored to hold sophisticated alien technology.
“Ariana is a spectacular new talent in cinema,” Roth said Monday in a statement. “She has already worked with many of my close collaborators, and everyone raves about her. She blew us all away in her audition, and I cannot wait to see her bring the wild, insane, and unpredictable Tiny Tina to the big screen. She’s going to blow up on screen like one of Tina’s grenades.”
