Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp and Bohemian Rhapsody star Joseph Mazzello join indie comedy, Bob and Amy. David Hunt will direct and produce the film with Patricia Heaton through their FourBoys Entertainment Shingle. The screenplay comes from Rodney Vaccaro.
The plot follows music critic Bob (Mazzello), who is out of work and attempting to manage the assortment of animals amassed by his wife, Amy (Camp). When a high school couple gets pregnant, they plan to pick Bob and Amy as their baby’s adoptive parents; however, Bob must first reconcile himself to the thought of adopting someone else’s child as his own. Is having an infant ease their inner turmoil?
Neil Flynn (The Middle, Scrubs), Ryann Shane (Banshee), and Nash Grier (You Get Me) are also a part of the cast.
The last film the Mazzello worked on was the Oscar-nominated biopic Bohemian Rhapsody as bass guitarist John Deacon. Mazzello is also known for working on 1993’s Jurassic Park as Tim and The Social Network as co-founder of Facebook Dustin Moskovitz.
Camp has been busy the last few years working on several projects; her previous films were Netflix’s Desperados and The Lovebirds.
Bob and Amy were formally named Enslaved by Ducks.
