Knives Out star Ana De Armas is set to star alongside Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in the new big-budget action film from Avengers: Endgame filmmakers, Joe and Anthony Russo. The Gray Man is set to be the biggest-budget film in Netflix history.
The film is based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel of the same name, which is the first installment in the best-selling Gray Man book series. It follows freelance assassin and former CIA operative Court Gentry, played by Gosling, as he’s hunted across the globe by former cohort at the CIA, Lloyd Hansen, played by Evans.
De Armas was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in last year’s Knives Out, which she starred in opposite Evans. Most recently, she starred in Netflix film Sergio, The Informer and The Night Clerk. She also stars in the still unreleased James Bond film, No Time to Die.
Gosling and De Armas previously worked together on Denis Villeneuve’s 2018 sci-fi epic, Blade Runner 2049, where De Armas played Gosling’s AI love interest. It’s unclear what role De Armas will play in The Gray Man, but if her previous roles have proved anything, it’s that we can expect a strong performance.
