Amazon Studios Signs Film Deal with Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society

Michael B. Jordan’s production company has already been partnered with Amazon Studios, but now, that relationship is expanding to include first-look film deal and television deal. Earlier today, Jordan posted to his social media regarding the new deal.

“Looking forward to the next chapter of @Outlier_Society as we officially join the @AmazonStudios family,” the post reads. “#WithoutRemorse hits Prime Video April 30.” The post is accompanied by a new poster for Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, which features Jordan hiding behind a metal wall riddled with bullet holes.

“Bringing Outlier Society’s slate of film, television and multi-media content all under the same roof is an exciting next chapter for us,” Jordan said in an interview with Deadline. “Amazon’s global and expansive reach offers us the ability to entertain and engage our audience in innovative ways, while maintaining our commitment to supporting wide range of stories and storytellers. I’m thrilled to be kicking off the partnership with Without Remorse this spring.”

The film, which is directed by Sicario 2‘s Steven Sollima, tells the story of Navy SEAL who goes on a path to avenge his wife’s murder only to find himself in the middle of a much larger conspiracy. It also stars Jodie Turner-Smith, Jamie Bell, Guy Pearce and Lauren London.

Former president of production at Paramount, Elizabeth Raposo, was recently named Outlier Society’s president. Raposo is responsible for overseeing production and development alongside Jordan, who launched Outlier Society in 2016 to highlight diverse stories and voices.

“We’re excited to deepen our relationship with Outlier Society,” said Amazon Studios chief Jennifer Salke. “Michael, Liz and the team will be key partners in our efforts to showcase compelling, ambitious and addictive content that can reach our global audience. We can’t wait for everyone to see Without Remorse, our next chapter in the Tom Clancy universe – it’s an action-packed thrill ride fans will love.”
