Actor and producer Alan Ritchson has entered into a multi-picture first-look feature agreement with Netflix through his production banner, Dancing Skeleton. The first project developed under the new partnership is an untitled action heist thriller set within the world of professional motorcycle racing.
Ritchson will star in and produce the feature. The screenplay is written by Chris Morgan, who wrote seven installments in Universal Pictures’ Fast & Furious franchise. The plot centers on a globetrotting syndicate of motorcycle thieves targeting priceless antiquities. Interpol recruits a former MotoGP racing prodigy, played by Ritchson, to track down the network, only for him to discover that the ringleader is his younger brother, previously presumed dead. The production has secured an official partnership with the MotoGP motorcycle road-racing championship to consult on development and technical accuracy.
Producers attached to the feature include Chris Morgan and Ainsley Morgan for Chris Morgan Productions, alongside Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for RK Films, joining Ritchson’s Dancing Skeleton. Kirschenbaum previously served as co-president of production at Universal Pictures during the studio’s overhaul of the Fast & Furious series. The first-look deal follows the streaming performance of Ritchson’s sci-fi action feature War Machine, which debuted on Netflix in March 2026 and accumulated 139.9 million views in its first 91 days on the service.
Beyond the MotoGP thriller, Ritchson’s slate at Netflix includes Maelstrom, an upcoming action feature directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Carry-On). In that film, Ritchson portrays a federal marshal tasked with guarding an arms dealer’s fiancée when a hurricane traps them alongside a group of mercenaries. Ritchson is also developing an unscripted survival competition television series for the streamer in partnership with Bunim/Murray Productions.
