Adam Shankman is in negotiations to direct O’Lucky Day, a comedy starring Peter Dinklage, according to Deadline. Based on an original screenplay by Andrew Dodge (Bad Words), the film, black comedy that’s being compared to Bad Santa, is about a con man who pretends to be a leprechaun (and may actually be one). Dinklage will also be one of the film’s producers, along with Mary Parent and Cale Boyter of Disruption Entertainment. Dinklage won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance as Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones, and he will also be starring in the upcoming films Pixels, Angry Birds, and Michelle Darnell. Shankman’s previous directing credits include Rock of Ages (2012), Hairspray (2007), and Bringing Down the House (2003).
