Actress Mitzi Hoag Passes Away at Age 86

The news is quite tragic this week, as the world is forced to say goodbye to actress Mitzi Hoag. She was 86 at the time of her death, having been born in 1932. According to the Hollywood Reporter she is survived by her husband of 47 years, her daughter, and two grandsons.

Though Hoag may be gone she leaves behind an incredible and extensive legacy. Her career dates back to the 1960’s when she first moved to New York to study acting at the Actor’s Studio, then made the inevitable move to Los Angeles. She is probably best known for her work on Here Comes the Brides and The Facts of Life. She also made appearances on The Waltons, the pilot for Hawaii Five-O, The Jeffersons, Love Boat, and many other famous televisions shows and movies. Hoag also appeared in two Peter Fonda films. Throughout her life Mitzi Hoag made several guest appearances on many different famous television programs.

Though it is sad to say goodbye to such a talented individual, it is still nice to think that she was able to lead a long life. Fans maybe sad, but they can still be grateful that Mitzi Hoag was able to leave behind such a great legacy.
