Aaron Taylor-Johnson is cast in the action-thriller movie Bullet Train starring Brad Pitt at Sony Pictures with David Leitch to direct, according to a report from Deadline. Joey King and Andrew Koji are set to board the film also. Leitch is best known for directing Hobbs & Shaw, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2. He will also supervise the script that will be written by Zak Olkewicz.
The movie is based on bestselling author Kotaro Isaka’s Japanese novel Maria Beetle. Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada of CTB Inc., representing Isaka and the IP, are executive producers on the project. The novel is about a group of hitmen and assassins with conflicting motives on a train in Tokyo.
Kelly McCormick is producing through 87North, along with Antoine Fuqua. Kat Samick is executive producing, and Brittney Morrissey is the executive overseeing the project for Sony Pictures.
Taylor-Johnson is expected to play one of the assassins along with Pitt and King. That is as much information out about the plot right now. He currently has the Christopher Nolan thriller Tenet opposite John David Washington under his acting belt. He had starring roles in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Kick-Ass, and Godzilla.
Taylor-Johnson’s first American film role was of young Charlie Chaplin in the 2003 movie Shanghai Knights starring Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson.
