With Breaking Bad a thing of history, Emmy-winner Aaron Paul is wasting little time in finding film work. The actor made famous for his portrayal of Jesse Pinkman wrapped the buzzy crime thriller Need for Speed, is currently filming Ridley Scott’s epic Exodus with Christian Bale and Sigourney Weaver, and has now signed up for a supporting role in Gabriele Muccino’s family drama Fathers and Daughters. The Seven Pounds and The Pursuit of Happyness director has already recruited Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried in the leading roles; both actors recently starred in Oscar winning musical Les Misérables. The two major story lines take place on either end of a twenty-five year span, and revolve around a mentally ill novelist (Crowe) struggling to raise his young daughter; Seyfried portrays the daughter as a grown up still coming to terms with her troubled childhood. Paul will portray Seyfried’s love interest.
Brad Desch wrote the original screenplay which was previously mentioned on the Black List of the best unproduced screenplays.
