On Wednesday, movie studio A24 Films released a teaser of what we can assume to be their new sci-fi project. The upload simply goes by “Untitled” and does not include any other information in its description other than “In our near future.”
Shifting words (which are listed below) evolve into a larger message against a series of shots. These shots, at first, seem innocent and regular everyday moments- but as the teaser continues the tone shifts. There isn’t any more children or playful moments, the nature of the shots become ominous. The characters featured, stare- unable to turn away from what they see or have realized about life.

What could this possibly be? The answer is still unclear. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is keeping quiet on this one. It could be a film or even a television series. We all can agree the look of what’s on screen does fit A24’s MO, especially considering their extraordinary run of outside-the-box indies that include Ex Machina, Room, Under the Skin and Swiss Army Man.
It’s worth noting that A24 Films has produced television projects in the past and partnered with BitTorrent as a content provider back in June 2016. Speculation that it is a BitTorrent-specific project isn’t so far-fetched. But as for now we should just remind ourselves of the mysterious uploads description and wait for our near future for more information. We shall stay tuned.
