Deadline.com is reporting that A24 is putting their producing power to hilarious upcoming series. As of now, the projected run is six episodes. The series goes by Moonbase 8. It will be headlined by actors John C. Reilly (Kong: Skull Island), Tim Heidecker (Decker), and Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live). Jonathan Krisel (Baskets), meanwhile, has signed on to helm from the director’s chair.
The series will be about three astronauts. Though they have the lofty goal of going to the moon, they have to go through a simulation of the conditions first. Even in their exciting position, there’s no promise that they’ll leave Earth, especially because they aren’t particular talented in their field.
As of now, A24 plans to be the sole producer. More on this project as it develops.
