According to Variety, film studio A24 has bought the rights to Good Time, an action crime drama which stars Robert Pattinson. Pattinson, most infamously known for Twilight, has also starred in other films since then such as David Cronenberg’s Map to the Stars and Cosmopolis, as well as The Rover. He is set to star in an upcoming film entitled Lost City of Z.
The film centers around a bank robber – Pattinson – and his race against time and the police who demand he be put behind bars. Josh and Benny Safdie directed the film. Pattinson co-stars with Jennier Jason-Leigh (The Hateful Eight) and Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips).
The Safdie siblings are known mainly for indie films such as Get Some Rosemary and Heaven Knows What.
A24 had a lot of success last year with their film Room, winning an Oscar for lead actress Brie Larson. The studio has recently come out with Moonlight, which has been getting equal Oscar worthy attention.
Good Times will come out in 2017.
