A Woman Scorned is Unlike Anything in Gripping New Trailer for ‘Acrimony’

When you truly love someone, you’ll always be by their side no matter what, but things can take a turn for the worse when someone feels betrayed. Melinda (Taraji P. Henson of Proud Mary) is faithful wife who feels that her husband Robert (Lyriq Bent, Lt. Daniel Rigg in Saw IV) has been stepping out on her. Tyler Perry (Madea) writes, produces and directs Acrimony, which is the perfect title that explains everything a woman is feeling during such a time.

The supporting cast will include Danielle Nicolet (TV’s The Flash), Jazmyn Simon (TV’s Ballers), Jay Hunter (TV’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D), and Ajiona Alexus (Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why) as a young Melinda. This psychological thriller examines what can happen when a marriage falls apart and what a woman will do to make two wrongs a right.

This will mark the second R-rated feature from Tyler Perry since his For Colored Girls was released eight years ago. Lionsgate will be releasing the film on March 30.

Take a look at true acrimony from a woman scorned below.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
