New footage of Timothée Chalamet has been included in the latest official trailer for A Complete Unknown, the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic.
Directed by James Mangold, A Complete Unknown follows Dylan, played by Chalamet, during his rise to international fame. According to a synopsis, the film portrays a 19-year-old Dylan and the radical decision which cements his cultural status for good.
“As he forms his most intimate relationships during his rise to fame, he grows restless with the folk movement and, refusing to be defined, makes a controversial choice that culturally reverberates worldwide,” the synopsis reads.
The new trailer includes clips of Chalamet performing “Girl From The North Country” and “Like A Rolling Stone”. It also includes footage of Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo and Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez.
The screenplay for A Complete Unknown is written by Mangold and Jay Cocks. It is produced by Chalamet, Mangold, Fred Berger, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, Alex Heineman, Peter Jaysen, and Jeff Rosen. The film is a product of Searchlight Pictures.
In addition to Chalamet, Fanning, and Barbaro, the film also stars Edward Norton, Boyd Holbrook, Norbert Leo Butz, Dan Fogler, Eriko Hatsune, Will Harrison, Big Bill Morgenfield and Scoot McNairy.
A Complete Unknown is set to release December 25, 2024.
