$3 Movie Offer To Takeover U.S. On September 3rd

This year on September 3rd, participating movie theaters across the United States will be celebrating National Cinema Day with $3 moviesThe Cinema Foundation, a non profit focused on creating a more diverse cinema-going workforce and community, is to thank for the deal.

Founded by the National Association of Theatre Owners earlier this year, the motivation for this special day is to “thank” movie goers for the record breaking box office numbers this summer, according to foundation president Jackie Brenneman.

Due to the pandemic, movie theaters were hit hard and even after restrictions were lifted, people were wary about going to sit in a room filled with other people for two hours. However, this past summer saw the return of watchers to movie theaters, and The Cinema Foundation hopes these $3 tickets entice those who haven’t made it back to the movies yet to enjoy a film.

The offer will only last a single day but will be available at over 3,000 participating movie theaters that, all together, hold more than 30,000 silver screens. According to advertising, there will also be special previews coming from over 12 movie studios as well as other promotions happening from location to location.

To get more information, check out the official National Cinema Day website or the web page of your local cinema to find out if they will be participating.
