Two years ago, Warner Bros released their attempt at an Avengers style-crossover for the DCEU with Justice League, a film that unfortunately was a critical and box office disappointment. One element that many fans blame on the film’s lackluster success was its troublesome production, with Joss Whedon replacing Zack Snyder as director due to the latter dealing with his daughter’s suicide and, as a result, abandoning Snyder’s original vision. Since this was announced, many fans have expressed interest in Warner Bros releasing Snyder’s original version of the film. Despite critics doubting the “Snyder Cut’s existence, however” a recent outcry of support from notable individuals states otherwise.

On their Twitter accounts, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot tweeted out the famous hashtag “ReleasetheSnyderCut, favoring their support for Warner Bros’ to release Snyder’s version of the film. This is surprising, as it marks the first time members of Justice League‘s cast have stated support for the director’s initial vision. Gadot and Affleck’s Tweets were not only retweeted by Snyder, but Cyborg actor Ray Fisher tweeted out his support, implying that a Synder Cut might exist in some form or another.
Regardless of whether Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut is fully completed or not, it’s still unknown if Warner Bros would ever release the film. However, the support by Wonder Woman and Batman does give fans some hope that the original version could see the light of day. Even if it’s far from perfect, audiences getting the opportunity to see a lost version of a pre-existing film could be fascinating and, with such a huge outcry, there maybe more on the horizon than initially expected.
