Bruce Willis (The Expendables) has dropped out of the cast of Woody Allen’s (Midnight In Paris) latest film, according to Deadline. Willis was one of the first actors to sign on to a cast that also features Blake Lively (Gone Baby Gone), Jesse Eisenberg (American Ultra), Kristen Stewart (American Ultra), Corey Stoll (Ant Man), Parker Posey (Best In Show), Jeannie Berlin (Inherent Vice), Ken Stott (The Hobbit), Anna Camp (The Help), and Paul Schneider (Away We Go).
Confirmed by Woody Allen’s camp, it is reported that Willis’s plans to work with Allen were derailed by his upcoming role in the Broadway adaptation of the legendary Stephen King novel, and classic Rob Reiner film, Misery.
In the meantime, Allen will recast Willis’s role in a timely fashion in order to keep the production on schedule. Allen’s most recent film, Irrational Man, is currently in theaters.
