Supergirl is coming to streaming services July 28 of this year. The movie premiered June 26 and starred Milly Alcock returning to her role as Supergirl that made a small cameo at the end of Superman (2025). The movie can pre-ordered on Amazon and will be available a day before it comes to other streaming services. As for the streaming services it is coming to, no confirmation has been made but previous DC projects have been set to stream on HBO Max.
The movie has only been in theaters for a little over a month and has received mixed reviews. In an Entertainment Weekly Interview, Producer Peter Safran (Superman (2025)) referenced Supergirl and the reception it received. “Obviously, you saw it this weekend, not everything’s gonna work, but we don’t judge the success of our 10-year plan based on any individual project along the way.” The interview comes from an article about the next project for DC to come to theaters, Clayface. And Just like the many projects that James Gunn has planned for DC, so does he have for the character of Supergirl.
Supergirl is confirmed to make a return in the follow up to Superman (2025), Superman: Man of Tomorrow.
