Searchlight Pictures has released the second official trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. The horror-comedy, starring Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood, serves as the long-awaited sequel to Ready or Not (2019).

The latest trailer opens with Grace (Weaving) lying disoriented in the grass right before a countdown begins. The camera then cuts between close-ups of players clutching weapons, signaling the game is about to start.

“The Heads of the Council families will try to kill you and your sister,” explains Wood’s character. “Whoever does, wins the high seat and controls everything.”

Grace has quickly found herself stuck back in the game she thought she’d escaped, but this time with her sister (Newton). “Listen, if you don’t do exactly what I say, we are going to die,” Grace warns.

The film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay penned by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. Additional cast members include Shawn Hatosy, Nestor Carbonell, and David Cronenberg.

The previously released trailer became Searchlight’s number-one trailer launch, with 68 million views on its first day.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come hits theaters nationwide on March 20.
