7:30 ET/4:30 PT – Red carpet in full swing.
7:37 ET/4:37 PT – Advertisement, oh Pamela Anderson! ET host asked if there is a Naked Gun sequal for the 2025 film, sounds like theres hope, but nothing concrete. We wouldn’t be against two Naked Gun trilogies.
7:40 ET/4:20 PT – Michal B. Jordan is up for best actor in drama for Sinners and brought his mom as his special guest. If he doesn’t win best actor we all know he’s certainly won best son.
7:32 ET/4:32 PT – Chase Infiniti rocks with sparkling mirror-coated dress as nommie for One Battle After Another. Maybe the Miss Piggy Movie is happening, maybe not. Ariana Grande doesn’t sound like she’s in, but Infiniti might be up for it. The world needs more Miss Piggy.
7:43 ET/4:43 PT – Jesse Buckley up for Hamnet, sports a beautiful satin blue dress, has been a frequent face at awards this season, too. Buckley shares she wasn’t a mom when she shot Hamnet and enjoyed the role before becoming a mom herself now shortly after.
7:45 ET/4:45 PT – Ugh, ad, ad, and more ads. Not even for carpet services to keep it in theme, darn you, algorithm.
7:48 ET/4:48 PT – And we’re back! With Miley Cyrus and crew are up for an original song nomination with Avatar: Fire and Ash.
7:50 ET/4:50 PT – Tamberine, the instrument mentioned. Win for tamberine lovers. Kevin Hart is up for a comedy album this year and hopes to win before going back to work on Jumanji.

8:01 ET/4:01 PT -Miles Canton with his acting debut in Sinners is in attendence, Sammy, icon. True icon. Can’t wait to see what he does next.
8:05 ET/5:05 PT – Many of the Globe nominees, presenters, and guests are wearing “ICE OUT” and “BE GOOD” pins as a tribute to Renee Macklin, the victim of the recent fatal shooting in Minneapolis earlier this week by an ICE agent. The pins are courtesy of the ACLU-endorsed campaign from members of the entertainment industry, with support from Maremoto, Move On, National Domestic Workers Alliance, and Working Families Power. We at mxdwn send our condolences as well to the Macklin family for their loss.
8:07 ET/5:07 PT – Nick Joans in attendance with Priyanka Chopra, the lovely wife, who is presenting tonight and who will be playing a pirate that gets to behead people in the upcoming The Bluff. Goals. Joans will also be in Jumanji 3.

8:15 ET/5:15 PT – Hudson Williams was stopped by everyone on his way through the red carpet for pictures, understandably. Then he toasts the BC Children’s Hospital because they saved his life when he was younger, and he would like them to save more because team BC, with a $1,000 dollar donation as the charity of his choice.
8:17 ET/5:17 PT – And the award for Best Supporting Female Actor – Motion Picture goes to Teyana Taylor for One Battle After Another!
8:18 ET/5:18 PT – Anyone else getting Star Trek merch ads for their breaks? This is a new one for us. I don’t want to buy anything, not reallya merch girl, but now I wanna rewatch Star Trek. Oof.
8:22 ET/5:22 PT – Janelle James from Abott Elementary, rocking a super fly orange dress, maybe we’ll see her up for a nomination in movies in the near future. Thoughts?

8:29 ET/5:29 PT – OH MY GOD K-POP DEMON HUNTERS!!! With original song Golden up for best original song. Eagerly anticipating sequel currently, probably, hopefully, slated for 2029.
8:31 ET/5:31 PT – The ads are somewhat more tolerable tonight, but only because it’s our special boy Star Trek. Also, can we get the names to stay up a little longer, 3 seconds? Some of us are bad with names.

9:12 ET/6:12 PT Best screenplay goes to Paul Thomas Anderson with One Battle After Another, shouts out to Sandler and others, including Benicio Del Toro as those who assisted and helped bring it to life. Congratulations on three Golden Globes!
9:13 ET/6:13 PT – Rose Byrne wins Best Actress in Film Drama for her performance in If I Had Legs I Kick You, after three nominations, a win is secured! Congratulations a well-deserved win!
9:23 ET/6:23 PT – Jenifer Lopez presents the best actor in comedy or musical, with the win going to Timothee Chalamet in Marty Supreme! After five nominations, Marty wins! Chalamete also gives A24 its second shout-out, thank you after Bryne did so earlier.
9:38 ET/6:38 PT – Kevin Hart presents the winner of box office achievement to Sinners! Another great win! Team Sinners! Team Sinners! We really had a good time with Sinners. Ryan Coolger looks sharp tonight, with a textured suit and pin as he thanks Wanrer Bros. for giving Sinner’s the chance of a wide release.
9:52 ET/6:52 PT – The winner for best director of a film goes to Paul Thomas Anderson, making his fourth globe and second of this ceremony, dang, PTA is cleaning up tonight, flexing. Gives thanks to Mike Deluca as one of the figures who helped make this win possible by starting a studio that lets directors do what they want, and gives shout-outs to Weapons and Sinners.
9:57 ET/6:57 PT – The winner of the best animated film for the Globes goes to K-POP DEMON HUNTERS ANOTHER GREAT DESERVED WIN with 266 million views and counting. This film is legendary and will continue to bring joy for many more views and rewatches to come. Congratulations!!!

10:10 ET/7:10 PT – The globe for best non-English spoken film goes to The Secret Agent from Brazil! Congratulations! NEON was the distributor for the film in the US, including two other nominees in this category. NEON win!
10:15 ET/7:15 PT – Haha, Pauline Frederick said F*ck. We are not sure if we are allowed to say F*ck on this platform either, though. Congratulations!
10:24 ET/7:24 PT – Amy Palmer strikes again, stealing Jermey Strong’s glasses and hat from last year for a very funny PSA bit.
10:42 ET/7:42 PT – It’s been TV time for a while now. Anticipation is building, but so is the tiredness; it’s late on one side of the continent.
10:57 ET/7:57 PT – Chris Pine and Ana de Armas presented the best actress in a dramatic motion picture to Jesse Buckley for Hamnet! A hard-fought win for a moving performance in a heartbreaking story, the tears are happy and sad, but mostly happy. Buckley thanked the crew and her friends who, as women, impacted her greatly, and for the soup from Tobar, the grip.
10:59 ET/7:59 PT – Diane Lane and Coleman Domingo present the best performance of a male actor in a motion picture drama. The Globe goes to Wagner Moara for Secret Agent and is the first Brazilian man to win this award. Congraluations Moara! Moara thanked the crew, family, and friends along wiht NEON, the distributor that brought the film to the US. Moara shared the touching sentiment that if trauma can be passed down through generations, so can values. Nobody on the staff speaks Portuguese, so it’s going to be a second before we can translate the rest.
11:07 ET/8:07 PT – Julia Roberts presents the best motion picture in musical or comedy to One Battle After Another, making this Paul Thomas Anderson’s fifth Globe and third for the night for this film. Congratulations on an astounding triple win!
11:12 ET/8:12 PT – George Clooney presents the final award for best motion picture in drama to, drum roll please… to Hamnet!!! Steven Spielburge thanks the producers and the friend who sent the book the film is based on before passing it on to Khole Zhoa, who sends out kind words thinking of the crew that faced losses of loved ones over the course of the production. Zhoa points to Coolger and shares a fun anecdote about teaching Coolger about starting a fire before transitioning into thanking all the other people who contributed to the film in any way. Congratulations, Hamnet cast and crew!
11:19 ET/8:19 PT – Golden Globes share a PSA about how their voting process works per tradition.
