Even though it seemed she graced our screens every week with a new piece of media in 2024, be prepared to see a little less of Nicole Kidman on your screens this coming year.
At the SXSW premiere of her new thriller, Holland, on Sunday, Kidman spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about what she had in store for her career in 2025. The actress said with a laugh that her year is “actually not as crazy. I was much more out there last year; this year I have Holland, I have Nine Perfect Strangers, and then I’m off for the rest of the year.”
Kidman starred in three features last year: A Family Affair, Babygirl, and Spellbound. Along with those films, Kidman appeared in and produced two miniseries: Expats and The Perfect Couple.
Kidman was in the production chair once more with Holland, directed by Fresh filmmaker Mimi Cave. The film, as described by The Hollywood Reporter, centers around Kidman as “a picture-perfect teacher and homemaker in the small midwestern town of Holland, who suspects her husband (Matthew Macfadyen) of living a double life. She and her friend (Gael García Bernal) then uncover a twisted secret along the way.”
Cave praised Kidman as a person and performer, saying the actress “was a real champion of the script and a champion of me,” going further to say that Kidman truly believes in directors and their work. Holland starts streaming March 27th on Prime Video.
