The film set of Beetlejuice 2 in Vermont got burglarized and the Vermont State Police are still in search of the culprit. The Vermont State Police shared a photo on X of the sculpture that was stolen from the film set in East Corinth. Fans of the movie would recognize the sculpture from the 1988 Beetlejuice created by Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara).
On July 21, the Vermont State Police shared, “We tried saying the name of this stolen statue three times, but it didn’t come back!” The police continued, “We’re investigating the theft of this 150-pound sculpture from the Beetlejuice 2 set in E. Corinth, along with a lamppost topped with a pumpkin decoration.” The police asked the public if they know of any information regarding the theft to contact them.

Regarding the movie, Tim Burton will be returning to direct the Beetlejuice sequel that is scheduled to open on September 6, 2024 but may change due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike. The writers of the script are Mike Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg. The producers are Tommy Harper, Plan B, Marc Toberoff, and David Geffen. Michael Keaton will reprise his role along with Winona Ryder and O’Hara while and Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega has joined the cast along with, Willem Dafoe, and Justin Theroux.
