Zoe Saldana has singed on to the cast of the upcoming graphic novel adaptation I Kill Giants alongside Madison Wolfe.
I Kill Giants is based on the 2008 Joe Kelly graphic novel, which was illustrated by Ken Niimura. Zoe Saldana will portray psychologist Mrs. Molle, who will form a bond with Madison Wolfe’s character and eventually help her fight imaginary and real life monsters.
Anders Walter will direct the script written by Kelly. This will be Walter’s first full length feature film, having directed the Academy Award-winning short Helium.
Wolfe won the lead role after and extensive search that included over five hundred girls. She had a role in the first season of True Detective, co-starring Matthew MConaughey and Woody Harrelson. She also has roles upcoming David O. Russell film, Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bryan Cranston-led biopic, Trumbo.
Zoe Saldana is currently filming her third Star Trek film (Star Trek Beyond), and has three Avatar sequels lined up which are set to be shot back-to-back-to-back. She also has a role in the upcoming Ben Affleck directed period piece Live by Night.
Treehouse Pictures acquired the rights to film back in March and will finance the production.
Production is set to begin early in 2016.
