Zack Snyder to Shoot More Scenes for his Cut of ‘Justice League’ in October

On September 22, it was rumored that Zack Snyder will be shooting more scenes for his cut of Justice League. That was finally confirmed this morning by Grace Randolph, a friend of Snyder’s who has been very close to The Snyder Cut since 2016.

It was rumored for a while that Snyder had planned to shoot more scenes for his movie, one of which would be the reveal that Harry Lennix was Martian Manhunter the whole time. However, it is also confirmed that the reshoots will involve Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, and Ray Fisher. What those scenes are in particular has remained to be seen.

It is uncertain what other scenes Snyder plans to shoot, but what is known is that his version will be a four part miniseries each one hour long, that will then be edited together to be one massive movie. The rumored runtime is 240 minutes; however, with this news coming out, it is certain that The Snyder Cut will be much longer than that, and will definitely hold surprises not previously known.

Whether a 4 plus hour cut of Justice League is a good or bad thing remains to be seen. But what I do know is that I am excited as well as the millions of fans that campaigned for this. Junkie XL is currently hard at work composing the score for the movie and the editors are said to be in full swing, despite COVID.

Justice League: The Snyder Cut is set to premiere on HBOMax sometime in 2021.
