We’re inching ever closer to the eagerly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming, the third big-screen reboot of the venerable Marvel superhero. In an effort to build further momentum, Sony and Marvel took to tonight’s MTV Movie & TV Awards to offer a brand new clip of the film.
Offered is some humor and some quality time spent with Tom Holland, who officially takes over Peter Parker duties in his first standalone outing – the rising young actor (known best previously for his heartfelt work in J.A. Bayona’s 2012 true-life disaster film The Impossible) teased his Spidey take in last year’s Captain America: Civil War to much fanfare.
Spider-Man: Homecoming further fleshes out Peter’s world and co-stars Zendaya, Laura Harrier, Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover, Bokeem Woodbine, Logan Marshall-Green, Tony Revolori, Jon Favreau, and features Michael Keaton and Robert Downey Jr. (as Iron Man, of course). Jon Watts directs.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7th.
