Yes, Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’ is Getting Closer

Pixar movies have always been highly anticipated and well-received by critics and audiences alike. With a trailer already released for Pixar’s next movie, Inside Out, the Twitter account @DisneyPixar has released the short video above to hype up their other 2015 release, The Good Dinosaur. The Good Dinosaur has been in production since 2012. Centering around a benevolent Apatosaurus named Arlo, who befriends a human named Spot (yes, the human is named Spot), the movie seems to be about their friendship, though no further plot details have been released.

The above is one of the only photos we have from Pixar for this movie as of today, and is little more than a title card for the movie itself. With a whole bunch of sequels in the works for the next few years, The Good Dinosaur is a chance for Pixar to get some new blood in the mix before placing all their bets on tried-and-true storylines and characters. Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo, is set for release in 2016, followed by sequels to The Incredibles and Cars.

Eager fans may get a sneak peek at The Good Dinosaur thanks to Pixar’s love of Easter eggs and its upcoming special Toy Story That Time Forgot, airing on December 2nd on ABC, which seems to involve the gang relying on Trixie, Bonnie’s Triceratops from Toy Story 3. Both old and new fans of Pixar will be watching more closely than ever for hints at The Good Dinosaur‘s plot and for the teaser trailer for the movie itself. Set to premiere in just over a year on November 25th of 2015, the teaser may be coming any time between now and Inside Out’s release next summer.
